These printable bookmarks to color are not only super cute and adorable, but they're a fun free printable, too! And since school is starting and books are becoming more of a "thing" now that summer is in our rear view mirrors, it just makes sense that the kids will need some great bookmarks to use.

Why spend money at the store buying bookmarks when you can have the kiddos create their own colorful bookmarks instead? All they need are some colors, markers, and a little bit of creativity and they'll be coloring and loving their new bookmarks!

While there might be really just one way to use bookmarks, there are ways that you can actually make them last a bit longer. If you print them and color them and do nothing else to them, there's a good chance that they'll tear and rip and just won't last all that long.

What I've found to be quite helpful is taking the extra steps to laminate them as well. This will keep them sturdy, and keep them clear of dirt and other spills that might happen during this time.

The Importance of Encouraging Reading

There's just nothing quite like picking up a good book and turning those pages. This is something that we love doing in our house and it just has that good feel to it as well.

But sometimes, we could all use a little boost to get back on our reading game and this is where these fun printable bookmarks come into play. Let the kids pick out a few books to use them on and use this simple coloring activity as a way to ignite their love for reading again! Also, let them create more than one bookmark, too! Because it's common to be reading more than one book at once!
