These color puzzles are a fun activity to color and then create fun puzzles in learning colors.

One of the best and most exciting activities we have all grown up doing is jigsaw puzzles! As a kid, I used to get huge boxes of jigsaw puzzles and spent hours putting them together. And soon enough, I went on from basic puzzles to 1000-piece puzzle sets. It was indeed a lot of fun!

However, sometimes it gets difficult to go out and shop for puzzles; therefore, to keep the kids busy during their free time, I decided to make my own puzzle! I drew several patterns on paper, made puzzle pieces on them, and cut them out. The result? Hours of entertainment for the kids!

When I saw my kids enjoying piecing the puzzles together, I instantly had an idea! Why not make these puzzles available for all?

Therefore, I made several new color puzzles and put them up on my website for everyone to access. Each sheet (color) is a nine piece jigsaw puzzle.

Benefits of Doing Puzzles

Jigsaw puzzles are a fun and interactive activity for people of all ages. It is especially beneficial for young children as they are good for the brain.

The activity to piece puzzles together improves visual-spatial reasoning and develops problem-solving skills. These skills are quite helpful as the kids grow and enter professional life. But that's not all! Jigsaw puzzles help improve concentration and reduce the risk of cognitive decline, short-term memory, and dementia.

Other than this, it's excellent for developing fine motor skills. Puzzles are a great mental stimulation exercise that works both sides of the brain, the left logical side and the right creative side. And as it keeps your mind occupied for a few hours, it's highly recommended for people suffering from anxiety and depression.

My printable rainbow color puzzles act as a twofer: A coloring page and a jigsaw puzzle. So, once you have them printed, the first step is to ask the kids to color them. And then comes the fun part!
