Material Needed For Halloween Cat Drawing
Before we start sketching our Halloween cat, let's gather our materials. Here's what you'll need:
- A piece of paper (regular printer paper works great!)
- A pencil (for sketching)
- An eraser (in case you want to fix any mistakes)
- Your imagination!
But wait, there's more! If you're feeling extra creative, you can also grab some colored pencils or markers. These optional materials can add a pop of color to your Halloween cat and make it even more spook-tacular. So, feel free to explore and let your creativity run wild!
How To Draw a Halloween Cat Step-by-Step Instructions
Below we're sharing easy steps tutorial drawing lesson using basic shapes. Don't forget to print out the printable cat drawing tutorial at the bottom and follow along.
Cat's Head
Start by drawing a curved line for the bottom of the cat's head in an upside-down arch shape
Draw two small curved lines, curing in and up from each side of the arch.
Finish off drawing the cat's head with a small arched line connecting the two lines from the previous step.
Cat's Face
The next step is to draw the cat's eyes. Draw half circles with the horizontal line at the top.
Next, draw two small U's from the top of the two cat eyes. Draw a small oval shape between the eyes and between the eyes and the bottom of the cat's face. Draw three whiskers out of each side of the cat's nose.
Cat's Ears
For the cat ears, draw a slightly rounded point shape on each side of the head. then draw a second line outlining the first ear shape.
Cat's Body
Draw a simple curved line down from the cat's neck down. We're drawing a simple cartoon cat drawing and so we simply draw a hook shape (candy cane shape) starting from the bottom of the left line and then hook to the right.
Cat's Tail
Draw a double curved line from the middle of the cat's body to the bottom line as the hind leg. Then draw another double curved line between that last line and the right side of the body to mark the front legs.
For the cat's tail, draw a long curved line from the bottom of the cat's body up over the cat's head and then curve out. Round out the end of the tail and draw a line back down creating a thin tail. Viola, you have a cute cat drawing for Halloween.
The final step is to outline the cat with a black pen on the final lines and erase any extra lines you had while sketching the Halloween Cat.
You essentially have a Halloween Cat drawing coloring page now! Have fun and color in your cat with your favorite crayons, colored pencils, markers, or even watercolor paint.
