How to Draw a Scarecrow Step By Step
Below we're sharing an easy step-by-step tutorial drawing lesson using basic shapes. Don't forget to print out the printable scarecrow drawing tutorial at the bottom and follow along.
Grab a piece of paper, and a pencil, and let's draw this cute scarecrow face. Here are the simple steps to how to draw a scarecrow.
Start by drawing a U shape for the face.
Drawing a Scarecrow's Hat
Next, we're drawing the brim of the scarecrow's hat. Start with a line connecting the two sides of the U. The second line starts at the face right below the line you just drew and then makes an oval-like shape around the line across the top and then curves back around the other side of the face.
The next step is to draw the top of the hat. Draw a half rectangle line from the brim of the hat starting and ending around the width of the face.
Drawing a Scarecrow's Face
Draw the eyes as two triangles in the middle of the face. Add two small circles in the middle of the triangle eyes.
Next, is to add a small u shape for the smile with circles on each end as the cheeks.
Add a triangle as the nose and then small lines along the smile.
Drawing Straw Hair and Shirt
Draw on the hair as small lines starting from the brim of the hat. Draw the shirt collar for your scarecrow as two half squares slightly tilted outwards starting in the middle of the face. Then draw a small line off the edge of each collar.
The last step is to draw a circle as a button in the middle of the shirt. Then draw a small circle or square on the hat with small lines around the circle. This gives the illusion that the patch on the hat was stitched on.
Viola, you now have a scarecrow face!
