How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Dr. Seuss brought a heartwarming story of the Christmas spirit with the book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The classic Christmas book shares how the kindness of a single girl, Cindy Lou Who, would grow the heart of the grumpiest of grumpiest, the Grinch.
Christmas spirit helps to grow the Grinch's small heart. It is now one of the Christmas classics!
We are excited to share the fun of the Grinch with this fun Grinch dessert!

How To Make The Grinch Rice Crispy Treats with Marshmallows
It's important to let the Rice Krispie treats cool to room temperature before cutting. If they are still warm, they will not hold their shape and be messy.
Once cooled, remove the entire square pan of treats from the baking pan. Then on a cutting board using a knife, cut into squares or rectangles. Whatever you prefer.
Classic Rice Krispie Treats
Start by lining your 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or wax paper. Spray the bottom of the pan, bowl, rubber spatula, and knife with nonstick cooking spray. Set to the side.
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir until they are completely melted. Remove from heat.
In a medium bowl add Rice Krispie cereal and fold in the marshmallow mixture until the cereal is completely covered. Stir in the remaining marshmallows.
Pour mixture into your pan and press mixture down. (The more compact you press, the harder your treats will be). Once they have cooled, you can cut them into rectangular pieces.

Tips for Making These Grinch Desserts
Can you make rice crispy treats ahead of time and freeze them?
You absolutely can make these ahead of time. They are best the day of, but in the case you are making them before, store them in an airtight container and they will be good for up to 3 days at room temperature or 6 weeks in the freezer. Although, I highly doubt they will last that long.
How Do You Cut Rice Krispie Treats neatly?
The best way to make sure your treats are cut out neatly is to spray the knife with butter or cooking spray. Repeat every couple of cuts to make sure it cuts smoothly.
Should You Use Candy Melts or Chocolate?
I prefer candy melts for this recipe, but bright green chocolate works too. Chocolate doesn't melt as smoothly without adding coconut oil to it.
