Bird Watching
Birds that we typically see in our area are blue jays, red cardinals, robins, grackles, finches, and Mockingjays. Occasionally, we are lucky enough to see Sandhill Cranes fly over our house and land in the creek near us. We love watching it wade through the creek waters and seeing different birds.
You can make these beautiful bird feeders, set them out in your yard, and then you and your children can sit back and bird watch. This fun bird feeder craft is a great way to celebrate the beginning of Spring. Making this craft would be a bright and HAPPY way to start your week.
If you are interested in bird watching, have different times of the day that you go outside to see what birds show up. We mostly have robins and finches come early in the mornings, then a variety of birds show up in the evenings.
I love seeing the finches come out and hop around our yard; they are so tiny and cute! Last Spring, one made a nest in a hanging flower pot I have on my porch. I made sure to keep seeds and water nearby for the momma bird.
Let your kids be as creative as possible with their DIY bird feeder and have fun this spring with beautiful crafts like this!
