What Is The Year of The Dragon

The Chinese New Year festival occurs every year in celebration of the new year based on the lunar calendar. As part of the lunar calendar and the 12-year cycle, each lunar new year is represented by one of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac.

The Year of the Dragon is a special time in the Chinese zodiac calendar. In Chinese culture, each year is associated with a specific animal, and 2024 is all about dragons.

Now, dragons aren't just fire-breathing creatures from fairy tales; they symbolize strength, good fortune, and power. So, when we talk about the Year of the Dragon, we're celebrating these awesome qualities and embracing the dragon's magical vibes. Get ready for a year filled with mighty creature adventures and good vibes!

    Chinese Zodiac Animal Signs

    Chinese Zodiac Sign

Here is a fun depiction of the Chinese lunar years broken down by animals.

The twelve Chinese zodiac animals are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

Each year, the Chinese New Year changes from one zodiac animal to the next. The next year is in celebration of the new animal and the personality it possesses.

Some in Chinese mythology (Chinese astrology) believe that those people born in the year of a specific animal possess personality traits similar to that animal's sign within the zodiac year.
