How To Draw a Heart
Start by printing out the free Heart Step-by-Step Drawing Instruction at the bottom of the blog post. Follow along the simple steps with a sheet of paper and pencil.
We recommend starting out with light pencil lines until you get the basic shapes you are looking for. You can always erase extra lines.
Top of The Heart
The first step to drawing a simple heart shape is to draw a circle.
The next step is to draw a second of the same size right next to the one from the previous step. The top of the circles will become the upper part of the heart.
Main Body of The Heart
Next, draw a vertical line from between the two circles down approximately double that of the height of the circles. Imagine you had drawn another similar-sized circle under the first circle. The bottom of the heart should be at the bottom of that imaginary circle.
Side of The Heart
The next step in drawing of a heart is to draw a diagonal line from the left side of the circle down to the bottom point of the heart.
Next, draw another diagonal line from the right side of the second circle down to the bottom point of the heart. You now have the heart outline.
The last step is to erase all the extra lines leaving just the outer edges of the heart drawing. Trace over the lines you have drawn in pencil with a pen or marker. Viola, you have the final outline of the perfect heart shape.
The final step is to color in your love heart with final details.
Have a blast drawing hearts that are as unique and awesome as you are!
