I don’t know about you, but in the early 90s, I must have seen The Lion King at the movie theater five times! The animation and music were amazing and now, I love being able to share this classic tale of family and friendship with my kiddos! Movie night!
I Ain’t “Lion”
Lions are beautiful, majestic animals. They symbolize courage and strength and are considered “The Kings of the Jungle.” Did you know that they actually live in open plains, thick brush, or dry forests? When visiting the zoo, lions are always our first stop. We’ve learned that lions are the only cats that live in groups and that their roars can be heard up to 8 kilometers away. That’s how loud my kids sing Disney songs!
It's also fun to learn How to Draw a Lion, a Paper Plate Lion, and L is for Lion Craft.

How to Make a Paper Lion
Use two different shades of yellow-colored craft paper and orange paper for the lion craft. Trace the lion's mane and tail tip pattern on orange paper, the tail, head, and body patterns on yellow paper, and the 2 leg patterns on the other shade of yellow paper. Trace the inner ear cutouts on light pink colored craft paper. Cut out the traced patterns nicely.
Stick the inner ear cutouts in the middle of the ear parts attached to the head pattern. Glue the tail tip cutout on either side of the tail cutout and stick the leg cutouts near the bottom side of the body cutout.
Stick the head pattern in the middle of the mane cutout. Glue the tail pattern on either side of the body pattern, keeping the tail tip towards the top.
Then glue the head pattern on the top side of the body pattern.
Use a gel pen to draw the eyes, nose, mouth, and whiskers of the papercraft lion. If you have googly eyes, add those, and then draw in the nose and mouth.
