Printable Valentine's Word Search
For those who may not be as familiar with word searches. They are word games where there is a list of words, typically based on a theme. There is a list of themed words hidden inside a block of letters. For example, this Valentine's Day puzzle has Valentine's Day words.
The object of the word games is to find the different words inside the letter puzzle. Once you find it, you circle the word in the puzzle or highlight it. Then mark it off your list and find the next word.

Word searches for kids are always a great way to get kids engaged and learning. They often are centered around specific topics and holidays, like Valentine's Day!
Word search puzzles are fantastic at introducing new vocabulary words to children as well as improving their spelling.
These puzzles are great at getting children to concentrate and stay focused. Of course, they are great at keeping your little ones entertained as well.

How To Solve Valentines Word Search Puzzle
There are a few different methods for solving word search puzzles. We have found that the most effective way to search for each of the words is to start with the first couple of letters for hidden words.
In the case of our Valentine's word search, say we are looking for the word RED. Have your child start with their finger or end of the pencil start with the top row and go from right to left like they were reading a book. They would be looking for the letter R.
Once they locate an "R", they should look to see if there is an "E" on any side of the letter. If they find the E, then look to see if there is a "D" going in the same direction from the R as the E was. If they find the three letters in a row, then they have found the word.
Once it is found, they can circle the word or highlight it using a highlighter pen. They can then check it off of the word list and move to the next word and down the full list.
