Letter A for Alligator Craft

We've all heard of A is for Apple, but how about A is for Alligator? The lowercase letter a goes really well with apple crafts. But apple crafts for the uppercase letter a is a little more difficult. Thankfully alligators go hand in hand with that letter!

And then they can learn to do alphabet crafts while learning about reptiles too! Alligators are reptiles by the way. I know they seem like monsters but they are actually reptiles. That’s not just me right?

Okay, alligators are actually quite interesting creatures, and what better way to learn about them than with a hands-on craft? We'll use different colors of construction paper, and maybe even learn a few alligator facts along the way! This activity is sure to be a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see the finished product!

How To Make A Is For Alligator Craft

Here are the step-by-step instructions for the A letter craft.

Start with printing out the letter A craft pattern from the bottom of the page. Cut out both the letter A and the teeth patterns.

Trace the Letter A out of the green paper.

For the alligator teeth, you can use the template or trace them and cut them out of a different piece of white construction paper.

Glue the teeth to the backside of the A and the inside of the legs of the letter A creating a mouth.

The last step is to glue the googly eyes to the top right of the A. This creates an A is for Alligator Craft. It may be easier for the kids to see when it's on its side.
