Octopuses are fascinating sea creatures known for their eight arms and incredible intelligence! They live in oceans all around the world and can change color to blend in with their surroundings. These amazing animals are quick thinkers and can solve problems, making them one of the smartest creatures in the sea.
Here are some more fun octopus facts:
- Octopuses have three hearts—two pump blood to the gills, and one pumps it to the rest of their body.
- They can squeeze through tiny spaces because they have no bones.
- An octopus can regrow an arm if it gets injured or lost.
- Each of their eight arms is lined with hundreds of suction cups, which they use to grip surfaces, catch food, and even taste their surroundings
- They use their arms not just to move, but also to feel, taste, and catch food.
- Some octopuses can squirt ink to escape from predators!

Letter O Craft Supplies
- Free Letter O Printable Template (at bottom of post)
- Light Pink Construction Paper or Craft Paper
- Dark Pink Construction Paper
- Yellow Construction Paper
- White Paper
- Black marker
- Glue
- Scissors
How To Make Easy Octopus Craft
Start by printing out the simple octopus craft template from the bottom of the post. Using the scissors cut out the printable pieces.
Trace the cut-out template onto the different colored papers. Then cut again.
Paste them all again on a dark pink colored paper. Make sure to leave a small border or outline upon tracing the parts.
After cutting the parts, glue the letter O (octopus body) and tentacles together.
Use a marker to draw eyes. Or if you have googly eyes, you can use those too.
Attach the eyes to the top-middle part of the letter. Let the eyes be near each other. Glue the yellow circle on the inside of the O under the octopus eye.
Viola, you have the cutest O for Octopus Craft!
