Letter B for Bee Craft
This time we're focusing on the letter B, and what better way to learn about it than with our buzzing friends, the bees? Bees play a crucial role in our ecosystem! While the kids may run away from them screaming, they should also know that we need them!
They pollinate all the flowers and plants. That means bees make stuff grow! This craft is a great way to discuss the importance of bees in a fun and engaging way.
Honey bees are not just super useful though. They also provide a wonderful theme for a craft! I don’t know any little kids who don’t love buzzing around like a bee when asked to! So, we'll be using yellow construction paper and a few black stripes to transform the letter B into a cute bee’s body and make it into cute paper crafts. This is sure to get our young learners engaged and excited!

Easy Alphabet Craft for Kids

Fun Letter Crafts
Ahhh letter crafts! Easy. Fun. And perfect for the little ones! The B is for Bee Craft is a great way to introduce kids to the letter B! They can learn letter sounds, how they look, and even how to write them while crafting. Turning letters of the alphabet into objects that correspond with their sounds is just too much fun to miss!
Kids take a simple uppercase letter B to a buzzy bee using only paper and some glue! It can’t be easier than that can it? We'll be using different colors of paper and other basic craft supplies to create this educational craft. I can't wait to see your little bees buzzing around!
Let's dive right into the buzzing world of bees and create some fun memories with our B is for Bee craft!
Letter B Craft Supplies
- Printable Letter B Template (at bottom of post)
- Yellow Construction Paper or Yellow Card Stock
- Black Construction Paper or Black Card Stock
- Craft Glue
- Scissors
- Hole Punch (optional)
How To Make B Is For Bee Craft
Here are the step-by-step instructions for the B letter of the alphabet craft!
Start by downloading, printing, and cutting out the free letter B worksheets at the bottom of the post.
Trace the B template onto the yellow colored paper.
Cut out the B letter.
Next, grab your piece of black paper.
Cut out at least 8 thin strips from the black paper.
Grab your B shape and 7 of the strips of paper
Starting in the middle of the B, glue the strips of paper across the letter and then glue the remainder out from there up and down the B. Cut off the excess of the black strip of paper making sure the B is seen.
Cut two small circles out of the remaining black paper. Then cut the last strip of paper in half. Using your pencil, curl one side of each of the two strips around your pencil turning them into bee antennas.
Next, using a hole punch, punch out two small circles from the leftover white paper from the B template. You can also cut small circles too. Also if you have googly eyes glue those on, or even a dot of white paint will work too. We glued the two small hole punch pieces to the inside of the eyes.
Lastly, glue the eyes to the top of the B. Then glue the antennas to the back of the top of the B. Viola, you have super cute buzzy bees and one of the most simple bee craft around!
