Construction Paper Crafts
The simplicity of making something out of paper is not lost on us. There are plenty of fancy crafts that can be made from lots of different crafts supplies out there. The truth is that we are in love with paper crafts because of how simple they are.
Growing up, we would always have a stack of construction paper that was screaming for us to make it into something. Whether it be an airplane, an animal, or a flower, the possibilities are expansive.
That is definitely why we love these flowers so much. Simple shapes, and simple supplies and you can make these flowers in no time at all.
3D Paper Flower Craft
With Spring in full bloom, what is a better way to celebrate other than making colorful flowers to decorate or give as a gift? Making Paper flowers is a fun activity for children of any age to bring Spring indoors.
These can be a great addition to any Mother’s Day moment or any special Spring occasion. I still have the paper lilies that my husband and our oldest child made for me 6 years ago. I keep them in a mason jar beside my recipe books.

Simple Paper Flower Craft
Crafts like paper flowers usually require only a few items like glue, construction paper, and popsicle sticks. You can always use colored paper to help with color recognition for preschool-aged children and this craft can help with fine motor skills.
These are the smaller muscles that are used in the fingers, hands, and wrists. You never want to force more than these muscles need but encouraging movement and growth is always good. My oldest struggles with muscle development and crafts like these are amazing for her. It is not only helping her fine motor skills, but it is also strengthening her brain to send signals out.
We have a trail near our house that is called the Wildflower Trail because the month of April is full of wildflowers! It is one of our favorite trails to hike because of the colors we see and the creek that is along the trail, and it is an easy trail for our youngest toddler. A craft like Paper Flowers would be fun to go hiking and looking for wildflowers and they could go home and recreate what they saw of flower styles or colors. They can also use their imagination and create a whole new flower!
Adding in a learning opportunity is not needed, but can easily be done with this craft. Children can learn about the native flowers that grow in your area, they can learn about all the different parts of a flower, and why flowers are needed everywhere!
