How to Make This Christmas Craft
Begin by painting the paper plate brown. Let dry completely. Then, cut the plate in half.
Cut the inside from the paper plate, leaving only the outside rim.
From the part of the paper plate that was cut out, you’ll need to cut a head shape. This is like an oval that’s flat on top.
You will also need to cut 2 strips with a few smaller strips, too. As well as two ears and a tail.
Create antlers from the strips.
Glue the antlers to the back of the head. Glue the ears off to the side, as well.
Now, adhere to googly eyes.
Then, cut an oval out of the light tan cardstock. Cut a smaller oval out of the red cardstock.
Glue the red oval in the center of the light tan oval and glue it to the head.
Glue the head to the paper plate.
Draw hooves with a black marker.
Finally, glue on the tail. And Rudolph is ready to lead the way!
There you have the cutest little paper reindeer.
I love that they are easy enough to make two reindeer out of one paper plate. In the case you are going to make these in the classroom, fewer paper plates are needed for each reindeer.
