Supplies To Make Sunflower Craft
- Colored felt fabrics
- Hot glue or fabric glue
- Pencil

How to Make Felt Sunflower
Select yellow, light brown and dark brown felt fabrics for the sunflower craft. Trace the petal patterns on the yellow felt, the strips on the brown felts (1 strip on each) and trace the round base pattern on any colored felt fabric. Cut out the traced felt fabric nicely.
Grab any one of the petal cutouts and create a slight crease on either sides of the petal’s tip. Apply glue on the tip to secure the crease. Similarly create and secure creases on the rest of the petals.
Grab any one of the strips and fold them into half lengthwise. Cut small and even fringes along the closed side of the folded strip. Similarly, prepare the other felt strip.
Take the base cut-out and place it on a flat surface. Glue 3 petals on the base crisscross wise. Make sure to keep the creased end inside the base.
Now glue 1 petal between every 2 petals on the base. Each layer of the felt sunflower will have 8 petals.
For the next layer glue the rest of the 8 petals slightly towards the center of the base.
Grab the fringed and folded felt strips. Roll the light brown strip first and then roll the dark brown strip around it. Apply glue at the end of the rolls to secure them.
Place and glue the rolled strips in the center of the felt petal layers to complete the sunflower craft.
We hope you enjoy this sunflower craft as much as we do. If you make them for a craft or decor project, send pictures or tag us on social media. We love seeing Made with Happy craft projects in the wild.
